How to use IPA symbols

1. Insert a sound symbol

Choose unfamiliar symbols like æ, ð, ŋ and build your transcription.

2. Add stress and length marks

Put ˈ before the stressed syllable, and ː after a lengthened sound. Combining marks follow a base character.

3. Copy your transcription

Copy plain IPA, /phonemic/ slashes or [phonetic] brackets.
